'Goodbye chair!!

So Camryn decided she was done with her high chair today. We were going about our normal morning routine with Dora on the tube and some honey nut cheerios in the making, but when I went to put her in her chair she looked at me and said matter of factly ..."no, I want to sit on the couch...goodbye chair". With that I decided to clean it up and put it in the garage. Of course, I got teary eyed as I put it away because for some reason, even though she is two and a half, and larger than most three-year-olds, I still like to think she's just a baby. So I found some of my favorite "chair" pics as a farewell tribute. Oh yeah, after she went and plopped herself on the couch she asked for her cereal....don't push it kid!!

What? You don't have one?

Okay so I know that one post about the upcoming "Sex and the City" movie is enough, but my friend Michelle e-mailed me this picture today of Sarah Jessica Parker at the London premiere with one word ..."seriously?"
What is funny about it is that Michelle was obviously mocking Sarah's choice of head apparel. I had seen the photo earlier today on the news and I am a little embarrassed to admit that well... I kinda like it and I am sorry but compared to some of the wardrobe choices that were made for her character on the series... this was just "old hat"!
Besides, as I sit here at 10:00 p.m. in an old, stretched out 'shade' tee , I am just a little jealous that she actually has a reason to wear it!

Latest Camrynism

...she has been walking around the house today with her
pretend magic wand, hitting me with it saying...(in the cutest voice ever)
"BIBILY BOBILY BOO!!"

A true princess...

Everyone knows that being a princess takes a lot of work. I took this picture after we had already tucked her into her bed with her p.j's on. When I went into check on her about an hour later she was in full princess dress...plastic heels and all . She reminded us that being a princess is a 24 hour job!!

A"Big" relief!!

I have intentionally resisted posting about this particular upcoming event because, well quite frankly of what people (like my mom) would think of my fondness...no, absolute love of...ok, here it goes, I am just going to say it...can I even say this on a blog? ---"Sex and the City"

Okay, there it is... that wasn't so bad, of course it will be when I am laying in bed tonight regretting my decision to discuss this, but oh well! I truly loved this series and trust me I know how controversial and frankly raunchy it could be and I won't even attempt to explain that I liked it because of the incredible writing and the brilliance of each of the characters ...nope, it was just, to say the least, a GUILTY pleasure of mine. In fact, when the series ended, as sad as I was, I was also relieved to have the temptation gone. Well, it is back on May 30th on the big screen and I am not going to pretend that I won't go because I will... and I can't wait.

For those fellow SATC sinners, I mean viewers out there you may have heard some of the rumors that Mr. Big dies in the film. This news was very upsetting and I am sorry but seriously after all that Carrie had to go through to finally get this guy and they want to kill him off? Well, after a very long day today and a temper tantrum at the park (not by me, but Camryn) I was restored to a state of joy and peace to hear on the news (yes, CNN) that the director of the film came out today and set the record straight that Mr. Big will not die in the show.

I know for some it's small...it is not world peace or the end of poverty, but for this stay-at-home,tired,child restraining mom...it's a 'Big' thing!

kickin' it Camryn style...

Bry took Camryn to Walmart and she came home with a little bling-bling and some pretty cool shades...and a whole lotta attitude!!

Birthday brat!

Well the big '33rd' birthday came and left and I think this is the first time I really didn't want to admit how old I was when asked. I think I might even be suffering from post b-day blues. See, I am kind of brat when it comes to my birthday and poor Bryan, after 5 years of marriage has felt the pressure when it comes to meeting my birthday 'expectations'. We are pretty different in this area, he absolutely hates any sort of attention on his birthday and the thought of having people focus their attention on him for 15 seconds to sing "Happy Birthday" sends him over the edge! When I turned 30 I was convinced he was throwing me a huge surprise party, heck I even gave him a list of people to invite...I know, pretty presumptive huh?! Well half way through dinner at the restaurant I said to him, "There's nobody else here is there? Nobody else is coming." Poor guy had planned a wonderful evening out with just the two of us for my birthday and I ended up pouting over the lack of 'hugeness' of the celebration. So anyway I know I am ridiculous and the first to admit this childish behavior and to be honest I thought I had grown past it but yesterday the ugly birthday brat monster reared its head once again. The day started out great, my family surprised me at lunch at 25 main and most of the people on my birthday call checklist did indeed call, my gap order arrived, and I was having a good hair day! Bry had told me we had dinner reservations at 6:00 and had apologized profusely that it was just going to be the two of us for dinner but that he was sure my close girlfriends, who strangely enough hadn't called me all day, would take me out later in the week. So I truly was sooo... surprised when we walked into pizza factory and my friends and their spouses were there! After I got over feeling really dumb for how bratty I had been acting, I had so much fun and Bryan was beaming with pride that he had pulled it off!! Pressure is off babe... at least until I turn 35!!
