Oh Paula....
Did anyone watch A.I. last night? Is it just me or does Paula need to be voted off for wearing stuff like this... sooo.... wrong!
Fortunately there was also this last night... soooo......right!

David Cook is officially my favorite. If anyone missed his performance last night, find it somewhere in the internet and watch! It was AWESOME!

Nice Easter weekend...way too much candy!

If I never see one of these again I will be okay. The amount of candy that I ingested this weekend... well is frankly disgusting. I couldn't help myself and I lost all control and ate everything in sight that consisted of chocolate or sugar.Besides the sugar overload it was probably my favorite Easter weekend in recent memory. Bryan's sister and her family stayed with us with their three adorable little girls it was so much fun to have a house full of giggling...
well.... giggles!!We went to the annual Staheli family Easter gathering at the Farm and I know it sounds cheesy but it was one of those days that I wish could have lasted forever. The flag football game, the egg hunt, my dad's dutch oven potatoes and catching up with cousins just made for the perfect day.
I have posted a picture of all of the family waving white plastic sacks... which looks pretty odd unless you understand the reason for it. My Uncle Steve, who is very sick with pancreatic cancer had been put back in the hospital earlier that morning. He had expressed in the previous days how much he wanted to be at the farm for the Picnic so it was very discouraging that he could not be there with his children and grandchildren. Well we experienced a small miracle when my dad was somehow able to go to the hospital and get him out and bring him to the farm. When we saw them pull into the farm we all lined up along both sides of the dirt road with our sacks to welcome him in. I can't describe the emotion that was felt as everyone was able to hug and kiss Uncle Steve and the happiness that he exuded even in his frail condition just being there with his family. This day will be a day that I will always remember!

"Thanks Obama..."
So Bryan has a new phrase... "Thanks Obama!" He says it to me at least once a day when he thinks I am being too optimistic and trying to reassure him that "everything will be okay". As some people know, our lives have been a little crazy as we prepare for some 'change ' ( another Obama word) and transition in selling our home (as well as a speck home...in a pretty lousy market) and move back to Draper. Bry will still retain his account here at the hospital but has also been given the UVRMC (Orem hospital) which is larger and will require us to live up there. We knew this was a possibility when we moved here, but that doesn't make it any easier to leave my friends and family! I have really loved being back here...okay that's enough, I am already starting to cry here at my computer and just need to stop there! Anyway it has been a little stressful to say the least, so the Obama catchphrase has been a funny little joke around here.
